Good lies

Good lies – Type 1

Topic sentence: Confident lie

Explanation: Could make someone feel more confident

Example A: A woman has a terrible sense of dress but I still say she is fashionable.

Example B: A man sings the song with a horrible voice but I say he is singing good.

Good lies – Type 2

Topic sentence: Helpful lie

Explanation: Could avoid some problems


Example A: A poor guy steal the money from the rich guy. The police ask the rich guy " Does the poor guy steal your money? " The rich guy say he does not steal his money. That is he giving the money to him.

Example B: A student was late for the class due to oversleep. However, he say he was sick.

  1. Good lie 1 sounds very clear and is given a very interesting example (A). I enjoyed it. Very funny.

    Yet, you might like to re-think about your good lie 2. I am not so sure if this could be called a helpful lie. If it did, you might need to explain a bit more.
